Tools and TickTick
That's a screenshot of the sidebar of the TickTick which I use for my GTD haha. Haven't cleaned it up in a long long time. Which is interesting. This is like a Brain-storage place. But actually, much more than that now that I'm finally looking at it.
You see, the normal way of thinking, I guess, is to consider yourself separate from all the things which are "outside" yourself. But I find that all of what makes what I call myself, valuable, is all on the outside.
Like this app which I'm sharing the screenshot of, is not just an app. It's very much a limb. It's a part of me, like my nose, but rather than being physical it is metaphysical. If I don't treat it with respect as if it's literally me, then I get hurt, with very real physical consequences like being anxious, or being unable to sleep at night peacefully.
I think it's very fascinating how much of life gets unlocked when one begins to think this way. Especially with something as potent as AI with us today, the more tools we discover, and integrate into what we call ourselves, the more capable we progressively become.
And it's also the natural order. The tools are an extension of the 'human'. It is because of tools we have been to the moon, two times now. Tools are the core differentiator of what changes human 'eras'. The stone age is stone age because of stone tools. So with the age of copper, and all the other metals.
Now is the latest age, best we make use of all the tools which humanity has so far been able to forge out of our little sandbox Earth.
