Thinking on Money

Let me think. What comes to mind from the word 'money'? Currency, paper notes, coins, numbers on screen. Then there's being able to tell people what they ought to do. Being able to get what we want from all that exists.

It seems money is a figurative assessment of our wants and needs. A number which represents value. If a lot of people have dough, the value of the cookie goes down - It's cheap to get. A rather useful tool.

Earth seems to really have an eternal supply of all our fundamental needs. Be it water or food. That if you have a plush garden grown by your forefathers, a river nearby, and a cave, you are pretty much set for life. Then, why do we have people going for all-day jobs which they hate, to earn that which has always been free?

Gatekeeping? It seems like the system of money has a loophole. That it doesn't differentiate between needs and wants. Seems like the aforementioned garden has been "purchased" by a band of first-comers who now won't let you eat the fruit unless you do something against your will for 69 hours per day. But because there are only so many gardens, we're essentially stuck.

But here's the problem. We are the garden owners. We are the fruit needers. We created this system. Money didn't exist before we invented it. And if that's the case, maybe we can reinvent it.
