Native Indian Americans
These guys are Indian Americans. They were born in India, travelled to America and got American citizenship.
And these guys are American Indians. They were born in the Americas, didn't travel anywhere, and got Indian citizenship from Columbus in 1492.
Europeans wanted spices from India. But the trade route was blocked by the Ottomans in Middle East. Columbus proposed he'd visit India from the other way, going around the planet.
To the misfortune of the Americas, he stumbled on them instead. It wasn't until Amerigo Vespucci travelled to this "India" himself and realized this was a new land they didn't know existed. So while the land got named Americas, the people remained Indian in all the lazy paper work and the psyche of the European colonizers, who then also became American citizens, still calling Native Americans as Indians to this day.
