Naked Humans

I was meditating in the park in the morning. Normal stuff. After I was done, I was noticing. There weren't too many people around. It was morning. People were yet to swarm the place. I was looking at the trees, the ground. Dried leaves. I could see the glimpse of sunlight on the horizon.

Looking at it all I wanted to put my mat aside, and sit on earth. Just feeling the ground. I sat. And I noticed. That my clothes were coming in the way of earth and me.

So I wanted to simply lie on the ground, naked. Like an animal. You see, naked is the norm in the animal kingdom. Animals don't wear clothes. Though humans have started putting clothes on their pets, I'm yet to see a wild horse with a shirt on.

It was weird. Because it never occurs to us usually that clothes are not a part of our body. Just like air - which we are in contact with all the time, but barely think of - clothes too are something we never not wear, and so barely think of.

While writing this, I can think of those tribes living in the jungles and forests. They are mostly naked. And when we think of aliens, we don't imagine one wearing denims. They are green or grey or whatever color we imagine their skin to be. Pretty interesting to think of!
