Let Me Do This Properly
I find that whenever I'm doing any World Game related work, like working on a project, a lot of it is just mundane work. Doing research, sorting things out for the next day's me, and only moving forward a little amount every day. What this causes, in effect, is a sense of very slow but dedicated movement ahead. I might, at the end of it all, get very little done. Not because I was lazy, but simply because the thing takes that much time to happen. So much so that trying to "speed things up" will only make it go slower in the long term as one risks missing critical variables.
Another thing I find is that whenever I'm doing such work, 'time' has already disappeared, because without attention, the work doesn't happen rightly, and with attention, time as a variable disappears.
Given this pre-defined amount of time something of value demands, which time is only realized retrospectively, life becomes really small. It turns from "oh so many possibilities of what I can do" to "let me do this properly". "Let me do this properly" seems bereft of passion, but in reality is the only real manifestation of it.
