Language Railway
Just like how a train follows the track, I find that thinking follows the language railway. When we say "hello", "how are you" or "hi" automatically seem to follow it.
Just before writing this, I caught myself concluding a fuzzy thought chain with "ah life is messed up". And right after, I began thinking of ways to obscure my thinking like scrolling social media or something in that realm. As I caught myself, I took a pause, and realized I was a bit sleepy. And I was VERY thirsty as well.
It seems like we're "over-reliant" on language to the extent we need reminders to drink water and alarms to wake up. Meanwhile, we're dreaming and using language during sleep itself - aka not properly sleeping.
Words essentially allow us to talk to others. But are we supposed to be using them when we're alone? What would it be like if we were all alone on the planet? Would language still play a role?
I wonder what freedom from language would look like. Worth wondering.
