Fiction and Steven Pressfield

I was reading Steven Pressfield's 'The Warrior Ethos'. And he mentions in it that in one his majorly popular book, the scene which he got the most emails and emotionally validating feedback from was about a section which was entirely made up by him.

That unlocked something for me. I think we too often care about things we don't care about at all.

The marksheet doesn't say how enjoyable the school year was. The resume could be a fake smile. The bank balance could be a burden too big to admit.

We are all flying too high when all we really want is to touch some green lush grass.
