Compression Asks for Answers
This has happened to me two times now. One was when I was watching Harry Potter long ago and I followed through and as I saw how the actors were growing up together with the characters they were playing. Another was when not too long ago I was watching the anime-cartoon Naruto, where too the characters were young and then became parents themselves. There is something about it when I see life compressed in this manner. It moves me.
Life follows a pattern right? Age is predictable, so are different stages of growth, and the way those stages differ in their relation with society. The humans born last generation are likely physically of the same design as that of the last thousand. But then, how come life seems unpredictable? That the possibility of death seems to throw us off still to this day? Having been alive for as long as we have, we should've known much more about life than we seem to. And I find that offensive.
I feel like I'm the same person being born again and again, and each time the expectation is to leave a note for my future birth so it doesn't have to build from zero. Same questions, again and again, each generation, each era, everything is roughly the exact same.
