Assume Goodwill
Whenever you find someone doing something really nonsensical, something which doesn't align with the laws of physics or of life, assume goodwill.
Because the design 'man' is not man-made it is inherently incapable of being flawed. Therefore any anomaly is never pre-se. It is always indicative of a bigger systemic breakage, a misaligned feedback loop.
Assuming goodwill frees us from the shiny garbage and fix the leaky dump truck.
